Made as an homage to my late father, who inspired in me much of the creative ideals I have today. An endless tinkerer, he was a master metalsmith by trade, but preferred the more artistic pursuits of piano teaching and ballroom dance instruction. He had a little workbench in the garage where he fashioned his own fishing tackle out of car parts. Wheel balancing weights were melted down for sinkers. Chrome side trim was bent over and filled with glitter and surfboard resin for lures. Car seats were unwoven for feathers for lures. So I like to think I get his "out of the box" creativity to apply to my own work.
